I know summer is almost here, the temperature outside is 77 degrees. Yes, the season is changing.Crafts can definitely be seasonal. In the fall we find uses for those pretty red and orange leaves, come winter we start on the gingerbread houses, and in the spring, decorate Easter eggs.
What crafts are ideal for summer? When we were teenagers, and spent time each summer at the beach, I remember once making a sea shell candle. We filled a bucket with wet sand, made an indentation that would be the candle, and then lined the sand with shells. A wick was secured in the center, and we carefully added hot wax.
When the wax had hardened, we removed it from the bucket, and carefully dusted away the sand, exposing the shells. It was a good summer-beach project.
